Tutorial — Record/Convert Star Wars DRMed Vudu to Surface Pro 3 DRM-free MP4 videos

Step 1. Run Vudu DRM to Surface Converter, click “Add Video” or “Add from folder” button on the main interface to import Vudu movies, or you may drag and drop the Star Wars movie downloaded from Vudu to the software.

Step 2. Choose the best codec for Surface Pro.

Click “Format” and select an output format for playing on Surface Pro 3. Here I suggest you choose “Windows > Microsoft Surface Windows RT/Pro H.264 Video (*.mp4)”, because H.264 .mp4 play well on Surface tablets.

In order to achieve the best video and audio playback on your Surface Pro 3, you might need to customize profile settings. Enter “Settings” menu, adjust profile parameters including video codec, video size, bitrate, and frame rate, and save it.

I was looking to remove DRM from a movie that I purchased through Vudu… that’s why I ended up here.I read the article and tried to follow every step explained in it but I encounters some problems during the process.I firstly downloaded the movie using Vudu app (Vudu to Go),it is presented in f4f format. When I try to load it into Chewtune,I get an error… something like “Only DRM files can be loaded”.I’m sure this is the movie itself as it is 9,8gb in size so what am I doing wrong?Any feedback is appreciated.Thank you.As a side note… I’m using Vudu to Go on Mac OS X Yosemite to save the file locally and then Chewtune for Windows for doing the drm removal process under Windows 7 (through VirtualBox).
*Last version of Chewtune doesn’t work with Yosemite.
