As a popular media player, Kodi does the remarkable job. Some old Kodi users complain that the Kodi can’t play the DVD folder? What’s happening? How to solve this trouble?
Issue: As a former XboX XBMC user. Never had any problems with XBMC. It plays everything. NowI have a Android box and even a hs251NAS with kodi support. Both Kodi apps wont play regular dvd 5 or 9 folders. Hitting the ifo file both Kodi apps chrashes. I used 14.1, 17, Jarvis etc. I read something to convert de dvds into mkv files. Is that really the solution? Can’t imagine though. Do I have install my old xbox from the attic?
Effective solution: Use the Basic method. Once you have enabled debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging, restart Kodi then replicate the problem. In your case, try to play the movie. Once done upload to pastebin and link back here.
